Creating an Emergency Access Management provision

You can use the Emergency Access Management provision functionality to assign roles in the application for a specified time period. Roles can be assigned temporarily to perform some transactions for a limited time period.

To create an Emergency Access Management provision, you must be assigned the IGRC Emergency Access role.
  1. Select Manage > Provisions on the navigation bar and click New to select Emergency Access Management. The Emergency access management page is displayed.
  2. Specify the information:
    Provision for User
    The name of the user to provide temporary access. This field is non-editable and displays the logged in user name.
    Insight
    The name of the Insight for which the provision is created. Possible value:
    • Authorizations Insight for Infor
    Data Source
    The data source linked to the selected Insight.
    Application Instance
    The application instance for which the provision is created. Application Instances are displayed based on the Data Sources.
  3. Expand the New Roles to be assigned section to assign roles to the user.
  4. Click Add Role to add roles. The Add Roles screen is displayed. Select roles and click Assign. The selected roles are displayed at the bottom of the page.

    The validity of the role assignment period is displayed in the Valid From and the Valid Through columns. Click the date link to modify the date, if required.

  5. Click Save to save and display this provision on the Provisions page.
    Note: Administrators and Business Process Owners must consider the data security and the privacy compliance requirements when assigning permissions to roles for accessing sensitive data. Access provided without detailed review can be misused. Limited and fine-grained access must be provided to users on the need to know and need to use basis. Faulty implementation may lead to risk.
