Adding Exclusions
You can add exclusions to exclude violating objects.
- Select Design > Business Controls > Bulk Exclusion on the navigation bar and click New to create a new task.

Specify information in these tabs:
- Task Name
- The name of the task.
- Task Type
- The type of task. Possible values:
- Add Exclusions
- Remove Exclusions
- Insight
- The name of the Insight for which the task is created.
- Exclusion By
- The options to define the exclusion. Possible values:
- Rule Books: The objects are excluded in bulk from all the rules in the specific rule
book. Click the Lookup option to select the rule books in
the Rule Books
field and click Apply.Note: This field displays the list of the rule books owned by the user or the rule books that comprises of the rules owned by the user.
- Rules: The objects are excluded in bulk from the specific rules. Click the Lookup option to select
the rules in the Rule field and click Apply.Note: This field displays the list of rules owned by the user.
Note: The Rule Books or the Rules field is displayed based on the option selected in the Exclusion By field. - Rule Books: The objects are excluded in bulk from all the rules in the specific rule
book. Click the Lookup option to select the rule books in
the Rule Books
field and click Apply.
- Exclusions
- The objects that must be excluded. Possible values:
- Role. See, Excluding roles in bulk
- User. See, Excluding users in bulk
- User Attributes. See, Excluding users by user attributes in bulk

Select an option to add the exclusions. Possible values:
- Append to Existing Exclusion: The existing exclusions are appended.
- Overwrite Existing Exclusion: The existing exclusions are overwritten.

Click Save.
Note: The Bulk Exclusion task fails if the objects to be excluded have a delimiter(|).
