Assigning rules to a compensating control

You can assign rules to a compensating control to mitigate violations generated for that rule.

To assign rules to a compensating control:

  1. Select Design > Business Controls > Compensating Controls on the navigation bar.
  2. Click corresponding to a compensating control. The details of the compensating control are displayed.
  3. Click on the Assigned to Rules tab. The Assign Rules screen is displayed.
  4. Select the check box corresponding to the rule that you want to assign to the compensating control.
  5. Click Add. The rule is displayed in the Assigned to Rules tab.
    Note:  Click the assignment expiry date to select a different date from the calendar or retain as Never Expires. Select the Apply to All check box to set the same expiry date for all the rules assigned to the selected compensating control.
  6. Click Save.
    Note: You can remove rules from the compensating controls, using the option.
