Stage Conditions for Provision

Use this section to set approval conditions for this stage.

Stage Actions
The actions considered in this stage.

Possible options:

  • Allow Mitigation at this Stage: The violations are mitigated at this stage.
  • Make Approvers Comment Mandatory: Mandate the approver's comments when approving the provision in that stage.
Approval Conditions
The conditions considered for approving the stage.

Possible values:

  • Any one Approver must approve.
    Note: This option is valid only if multiple approvers are selected for this stage.
  • All approvers must approve.
Object Owner Conditions
The conditions considered for the object owners to approve or mitigate the objects generating violations. The conditions selected for an Object Owner work in accordance with the options selected in the Approval Conditions field.

Possible scenarios:

  • With the Any one Approver must approve option selected and multiple approvers selected for this stage, the possible options are:
    • Any Object Owner can Approve/Mitigate: Allows any owner of the violated rules to approve or to mitigate the objects that have generated violations, regardless of whether the approver is the object owner or not for that stage.
    • Object Owners can mitigate/approve only their respective objects: Allows only the object owners of the respective violated rule, to approve or to mitigate the objects. The other approvers for that stage cannot take any action.
  • With the All Approvers must approve option selected and multiple approvers selected for this stage, the possible options are:
    • Any Object Owner can Approve/Mitigate: Allows any owner to approve all the objects regardless of whether they are the object owner or not for that stage.
    • Object Owners can mitigate/approve only their respective objects: Allows all object owners for an object to take action on the provision for that stage.
Stale Provision Reminder
The reminder settings for the pending provisions.

Select the Do not notify option for not sending reminders.

Alternately, specify the number of days after which the user must be reminded of the pending provisions.

Self Approval Condition
The condition considered for the creator to approve the provision.

Possible values:

  • Manual: Manual approval of the stage is allowed.
  • Automatic: The creator of the provision is allowed to approve the stage. If the creator of the provision is also assigned as the approver for the stage, the stage is automatically approved.
  • Do not allow Self-approval: Self approval is restricted in these scenarios:
    • When the assignee (user to whom roles are assigned in a Role Assignment Provision) and the approver for the provision are same.
    • When the user creating the provision and the approver are same. You can assign such provisions to the Administrator for approval or cancel the provision.
Bypass Stage If
The conditions in which the approval stages are not considered.

Possible scenarios:

  • There are no violations.
  • There are no un-mitigated Violations.
  • No Approvers exist for this Stage.
