Viewing the log

The Document Administration log shows IDM transactions, both error and non-error. It is intended for troubleshooting purposes only.

To view log entries in the Document Administrator web app, select Log.

To view the log in the System Administration web app, select Documents > Log > View All.

This list shows scenarios that log entries are created and filtered:

  • To view log entries, you might need to enable the Enable Log feature for your organization. When this feature is enabled, log entries are created for all IDM transactions. If the Enable Log feature is switched off, only error transactions are logged.
  • If you cannot locate specific logs, try to use filters. You can filter log entries by Actor, Source, Process, Log, File Name, Time Created, Type, and Error options.
  • Log entries might appear out of order unless you sort them by Most Recently Created (default), Actor, File Name, and Source options.
  • Log entries older than 30 days are automatically deleted.
  • A single successful IDM transaction has multiple log entries. To manage data, you can delete logs.
