Searching candidates in the candidate pool

You can search candidates using these criteria on the Candidate or All tab:
  • Keyword
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • City
  • State
  • Zip code
  • Competency and skill
  • Education
  • Candidate's existing job applications
  • Candidate type

You can search candidates with a specific type of credential on the Credential Search or By Credential tab. Search results are displayed whether the credential is a compact license.

You cannot search attached resumes that are not parsed or any other type of document attachment on the candidate's profile.

You can search a guest candidate on the All tab. The entry type for a guest candidate is displayed as Guest in the candidate pool

  1. Sign in as a recruiter.
  2. From the recruiter's workspace, click Find candidate.
  3. Optionally, select Talent Acquisition > Candidates.
  4. On the Candidate or All tab, specify this information:
    Keyword Search
    Specify one or more keywords that is applicable to the candidate such as qualifications, job ID, and requisition number.

    To search candidates using any keywords, separate the keywords with OR. To locate candidates using all keywords, separate the keywords with AND.

    First Name
    Specify a first name to search candidates with similar first names.
    Last Name
    Specify a surname to search candidates with similar last names.
    Email Address
    Specify these primary or secondary contact information to search the candidate:
    • Email address
    • Alternate email address
    Phone Number
    Specify these primary or secondary contact information to search the candidate:
    • Telephone number
    • Alternative phone
    • Mobile phone number
    • Fax number
    City
    Specify a city to search candidates with similar cities in their addresses.
    State
    Specify a state to search candidates with similar states in their addresses.
    Zip Code
    Specify a zip code to search candidates with similar zip codes in their addresses.
    Competency And Skill
    Specify a skill or competency to search candidates with similar skills or competencies.

    You can search for multiple skills and competencies. You can also use partial words, such as manage for management.

    Education
    Specify an educational degree to search candidates with similar educational degrees.
    Credential
    Specify a credential to search candidates with similar credentials.

    For example, JAVA or COBOL.

    Has An Application
    Select Yes to search candidates with an existing job application. Select No to search candidates with no job application.

    Leave this field blank to view candidates with or without job applications.

    Type

    Select the Select all check box to search all candidates. Select the Internal check box to search internal candidates. Select the Not Entered box to search candidates whose type is not defined. Select the External check box to search external candidates.

  5. To search candidates with a specific type of credential, click the Credential Search or By Credential tab and specify this information:
    Keyword Search
    Specify one or more keywords that is applicable to the candidates.

    For example, the candidate's qualifications.

    Candidate ID
    Specify the candidate ID number to search for a specific candidate.
    Last Name
    Specify a surname to search candidates with similar last names.
    First Name
    Specify a first name to search candidates with similar first names.
    Credential
    Select a credential to search any candidates with similar credentials.

    For example, select DO for Doctor of Osteopathy.

    Region
    Select the region of the country where the credential is valid.

    For example, select Midwest.

    To know if the region of the candidate's primary address is located in the region of the candidate’s credential, see the Address In Region field in the credential search list.

  6. Click Search.
