Job application of guest candidates
If Allow External Candidates To Apply Without Registering is enabled by an administrator for an
organization, a GuestCandidate_ST role is created in the Jobs web
application.

If an unregistered candidate applies on a job posting, a Your Job Application screen is displayed. When the unregistered candidate continues the job application, the guest role is automatically assigned.
The guest role is assigned to all unregistered candidates in the Jobs web application to complete all job application tasks. A menu with restricted navigations is given to the role. Guests can apply to multiple job postings and continue a job application that is previously not completed.
When guests continue a job application, they are redirected to the previous workflow step that they completed. A half-moon icon is displayed on the workflow steps that are started but not completed by the guests in the job application. A full-moon icon is displayed on the workflow steps that are not completed by the guests in the job application. A check icon is displayed on the workflow steps that are completed by the guests in the job application.
Guests can only upload their resume if resume parsing is enabled for an organization. Behavioral tasks are not accessible for guests.
If a user navigates away from the job application and retains the guest role, the available buttons for each job postings on the Job Search page are based on the guest's job application status.
- Apply: There is no existing job application from the guest.
- Continue Applying: The guest starts a job application and the job application status is In- Progress.
- Applied on mm/dd/yy: The guest completes a job application and the job application
status is Applied.
The date when the guest applies to and completes the job application is displayed. For example, November 1, 2024.
If there is a maximum number of active job applications for a job posting on a job board, the guests cannot submit an additional job application beyond their maximum limit. A message is displayed to notify the guests that the job application limit for the job posting is reached.
After guests complete their job application, they are redirected to the home page and are assigned to the anonymous role. Guests can track the status of their application after they register in the Jobs web application.
If a registered candidate applies to a job posting, the guest role is not assigned and is redirected to the Sign In screen. The same scenario is applicable if the Allow External Candidates To Apply Without Registering is not enabled for an organization.
A recruiter or a recruiter administrator can search for a guest candidate in the candidate pool.
