Viewing employee succession profile

You can view the employee's succession profile and their career plans, and update their succession details, succession positions, and talent pools.
  1. Select Team > Profiles.
  2. Select an employee.
  3. Click on the Succession tab.
  4. In the Succession Details pane, update the employee's succession details:
    1. Click Edit.
    2. Specify this information:
      Sponsor
      Specify the employee who endorses the employee's inclusion in a succession pool.
      Date Recommended
      Specify the date on when the employee is recommended for succession pool, talent pool, or specific position.
      Performance Indicator
      Specify the performance indicator from low to high.
      Rating score
      Specify the rating score value.
      Potential Indicator
      Specify the potential indicator from low to high.
      Measure
      Specify the potential measure value.
      Retention risk
      Specify a value indicating the likelihood that the employee may leave the organization.
      Reason
      Specify the reason behind the succession status.
      Comments
      Provide comments to add information about the succession details of the employee.
      Key Strengths
      Provide summary of the employee’s standout capabilities, competencies, or achievements that support their readiness or suitability for future roles.
    3. Click Submit.
  5. In the Career Plans pane, select a career plan and click View Plan to see how the employee's qualifications align with the requirements of the position.
  6. In the Succession Positions pane, click View to see the list of the succession positions.
    1. To add an employee to a position, click Create.
    2. Specify this information:
      Position
      Specify the position on which to add the employee.
      Status
      Specify the status of the employee's placement to the position.
      Recommendation Date
      Specify the date on which the employee is recommended for the position.
      Readiness
      Specify the timeline on when the employee is ready for the position.
      Pool Source
      Specify the method by which the employee is considered for the pool.
      Comments
      Provide comments to add information about adding the employee to the position.
    3. Click Submit.
    4. To delete an employee from the list of potential successors, select the position, then right-click and select Delete. When prompted, click Ok.
    5. To confirm a potential successor, select the position with Proposed status, then right-click and select Confirm.
    6. To assess if the employee's qualifications align with the requirements of the selected position, select Actions > Calculate Fit.
  7. In the Talent Pools pane, click View to see the list of the talent pools.
    To add an employee to a pool and delete, confirm, or calculate fit a potential successor from the talent pool, repeat substeps in step 6.
