Updating active employee goals

Managers can update a resource's active goals. They can also update bonus objectives after the bonus objectives have been approved.

  1. Select Performance > View Goals > Team Goals.
  2. On the Active tab, select the employee whose goal you want to update.
  3. Open the goal to update.
    Not all actions are available on each tab.
    • To add progress for a goal, select a value in the Progress field. This value is used in analytics by administrators and HR generalists.

    • To change the goal details, specify changes on the goal form and click Save.

    • To delete a goal, select the Delete action under the All Actions Menu, and click Yes.

    • To add an aligned goal, click the Aligned Goals tab, click Align, select the organizational goal, and click Save. See Aligning employee goals with organization goals.

    • To add comments, click the Comments tab, click Create, add comments and click Save. Comments are displayed with the date added.

    • To associate an activity with the goal, click the Activities tab. Click Associate, select the activity and click Save. See Associating employee goals with activities.

    • To add rating criteria for rated goals, select the Rating Criteria tab. Add or change the descriptions for each rating level, and click Save.

    • To move all goals to Active status, select Move All Goals To Active. Goals must be in Ready To Move To Active status.

    • To revert an active goal to Draft status, select the goal and click Revert Goal to Draft. To revert all goals to Draft status, click Revert All Goals to Draft.

    • To associate the goal to a continuing education credit, on the Learning tab, in the Associated Continuing Education Credits section, click Associate then select the continuing education credit to associate with the goal and click Submit.

      Only continuing education credits with earned dates falling within the goal's start and due date range are visible and available for association.

    • To disassociate a continuing education credit, on the list of the associated continuing education credits, select the continuing education credit to disassociate from the goal then click Disassociate and the click Ok.
    • To view information about a goal, select the goal and click Information.

    If the organization uses automatic notifications, the resource is notified that the goal has been updated.
