Creating or updating position field default rules

You can create or update position field default rules.

The Default With Override rule is not supported for work assignments that are imported in Infor HR Talent through the work assignment data load program or the Infor Spreadsheet Designer. The No Default and Default No Override rules are supported.

  1. Select Administrator > Set Up > Jobs and Positions > Job and Position Default Rules > Position Field Default Rules or HR Administration > Jobs And Positions > Components > Positions > Default Rules.
  2. Select a position field from the Position Field Default Rules list.
  3. To create a position default rule, click Open.
  4. To update a position default rule, click Update.
  5. Specify an effective date.
  6. To accept the default value, select the default rule to No Default.
    Specify values on the import records for the fields that are required, and leave the others blank. After the work assignments are loaded, you can change the default position rule to Default With Override so that the rule can be used when new work assignments are created directly in the Infor HR Talent application.
  7. To use the default rule when new work assignments are created directly in the Infor HR Talent application, select the default rule to Default With Override.
  8. To accept the default values, select the default rule to Default No Override.
    You must leave the fields blank on the import records.
  9. Click Save.
