Enabling the Security Entity feature

Note: Once enabled, this feature cannot be turned off.
  1. Verify that ActorOrgUnit security is enabled.

    The Security Entity feature is designed to work with specific ActorOrgUnit security roles.

  2. Verify that the Web App and Menu Consolidation feature is enabled.
    See KB 3502478.
  3. Enable the Security Entity feature in your organization.
    1. Select HR Administration.
    2. Select Administration.
    3. Click the Setup tab.
    4. On the Structure pane, click Organizations.
    5. Open an organization.
    6. Click the Configuration tab.
    7. Click the Security Entity Enablement link.
    8. Read the prerequisites.
    9. If you agree with the prerequisites, in the Are you sure you want to enable Security Entity? field, select Yes.
    10. Click Submit.
    11. Read the training confirmation.
    12. If you agree with the training confirmation, in the Are you sure you want to enable Security Entity? field, select Yes.
    13. Click Submit.
    14. Read the security entity acknowledgment.
    15. If you agree with the acknowledgment, select I Acknowledge.
    16. Click Submit.
