Promoting employees as a Compensation Analyst

Before promoting employees, ensure budgets are calculated. Then, select the Roll Up View link to manage promotions.

  1. Select Compensation > Awarding > Roll-up Approval Views > Salary Structures > Awarding View > Roll Up View.

    You can view the employees in the Needs Review tab, and the Promote action becomes available.

  2. Select a new position for the employee and submit the update.
  3. Select the Ready to Promote tab to view employees eligible for promotion.
  4. To cancel a promotion, use the Undo action to move the employee back to the Needs Review tab.
    Note: If you define validation rules and enable Merit Promotion, those rules apply only to employees not receiving a promotion.
