Sending a calendar invite for leave of absence requests

An absence administrator can send an Outlook calendar invite to employees upon the approval of a leave of absence request, or already approved leave of absence requests.

  1. Select Absence > Maintenance > Leave of Absence.
  2. Double-click the approved leave of absence request.
  3. Select Send to Calendar Upon Approval.

    You can also right-click the approved request and select Send to Employee's calendar. Employees do not receive an approval email, but an invite populates their calendar.

  4. Click Save.

    You can also approve leave of absence requests and select Send to Calendar Upon Approval simultaneously.

    Upon approval, an approval email is sent to the employee if the employee enables this option in their account.

    An Outlook calendar invite is also sent to the employee. If the employee accepts the invite, then the meeting is added to their calendar.

    Note: An absence administrator can check the EmailMessageQueue page to confirm that emails are sent accordingly.
