Manually approving submitted time off requests

When a resource requests time off, the work unit is forwarded to another approver based on the process flow approval that the absence administrator defines. The approver manually approves the submitted time off requests and cancels the work unit.

  1. Select Absence > Maintenance > Time Off > Requests > Submitted.
  2. Click Approval Group.
  3. Click Manual Approve to manually approve time off requests.

    You can also manually approve time off requests on the Submitted By Approval Group tab. Select any time off request, or right-click the request to view options.

    If there are many time off requests for an approval group, select the group, and then click Large Group Manual Approval to run the approval in the background and avoid timeout errors.

  4. Click Manual Approve or Large Group Manual Approval to approve remaining time off requests that are not rejected. The work unit is canceled.
  5. When all approvals are complete, the resource who requests the time off receives an email. Email notifications are set up in Absence Management > Administration > Email Automation.

    If the request is rejected, then you must select a reason. The absence administrator defines reasons for the rejection.

    Click Manual Reject in the Progress Groups list to reject an approval group's entire request.
