Sending an email from an employee or job application case ticket

As a case manager or agent, you can send an email directly to an employee or job applicant from their case tickets. You can use an email template to automatically populate fields. Before you can use an email template, your administrator must set up a template for the specific case type you are working with.

See Infor HR Talent User and Administration Library (Cloud and On-premises) and select Administrator > Case Management Administration > Templates configuration > Setting up email templates.

All email activities, such as sent emails and saved drafts, are logged in the Email History tab of the case ticket.

  1. Select Queue > Assigned To Me.
  2. Double-click a case record to open the case ticket details.
Optionally, select Resources, or if you're a manager, the Cases menu to open a case ticket.

If you select Resources, select a resource or click the Candidates tab, then open a case ticket related to the selected record.

  3. Click the Email icon.
  4. In the Email Template field, select a template.
Selecting a template automatically populates required fields and resolves text variables. If an email template has subject and message editing enabled, you can update the pre-populated content in the Subject and Body fields.
Note: You can only use templates that match the case type. For example, for a job application case, select a template with the Job Application type.
  5. Click Save to create an email history record.
  6. To send the email immediately, click Send after saving the record.
  7. Optionally, from the case ticket, click the Email History tab to view all email records.
  8. Right-click an email record with a Created status, then select Send Email.
