If case substatuses have been configured for your organization, then you can set default values. The default statuses that you set are the default statuses on case forms.
- Select .
- In the Primary pane, click Configurable Lists & Sets.
- Click .
- Double-click a standard field set.
- Click the Substatus Settings tab.
- Specify this information:

Select this check box to show substatuses on the case form

Required To Save

Select the requirements for saving the substatus on the case form.
- In the Self-Service section, specify the service center user type who can change the substatus on the case form.
- In the Default Value section, specify this information:

Open

Select the default substatus for cases with Open status.

Reopen

Select the default substatus for cases with Reopened status.

Closed

Specify the default substatus for cases with Closed status.
- Click Save.
