Setting default case substatus values for standard field sets

If case substatuses have been configured for your organization, then you can set default values. The default statuses that you set are the default statuses on case forms.
  1. Select Administration > Setup.
  2. In the Primary pane, click Configurable Lists & Sets.
  3. Click Standard Field Sets.
  4. Double-click a standard field set.
  5. Click the Substatus Settings tab.
  6. Specify this information:
    Display
    Select this check box to show substatuses on the case form
    Required To Save
    Select the requirements for saving the substatus on the case form.
  7. In the Self-Service section, specify the service center user type who can change the substatus on the case form.
  8. In the Default Value section, specify this information:
    Open
    Select the default substatus for cases with Open status.
    Reopen
    Select the default substatus for cases with Reopened status.
    Closed
    Specify the default substatus for cases with Closed status.
  9. Click Save.
