Setting up the calculation method for job applicant cases

Calculation methods are used to calculate the SLA due date for job application cases. You can use the calculation method to allow variation by topic and provide flexibility in determining which date is used to calculate the SLA.

As an administrator, you can set up and configure the calculation method. You can specify calculations in days before, after, or on the case creation date or employment start date.

  1. Select Administration > Setup.
  2. In the Primary pane, click Application Settings.
  3. Double-click an organization record.
  4. Click the Calculation Method tab.
  5. Click Create.
  6. Specify this information:
    Calculation Method
    Specify the name of the calculation method to create.
    Description
    Optionally, provide a description as reference for the calculation method.
    Active
    Select this check box to activate the calculation method in your organization.
    Days
    Specify the number of days used to calculate the due date.
    Duration
    Select whether the number of days applies before, after, or on the case creation date or employment start date.
    Calculate Date Option
    Select Case Created Date or Employment Start Date as the basis for the calculation.
  7. Click Save.
