Updating a competency or skill proficiency rating

Resources can request to update the proficiency level of a competency or skill. You can view, validate, or cancel all competencies and skills for all resources that have requested a proficiency update on HR Administration > Qualifications > Tools And Tasks > Qualification Requests.

As an administrator, you can update a competency or skill proficiency on the resource's talent profile even if the resource has not requested the update.

To access the consolidated view of a resource's profile, you must enable the Administrators View of Employee Profile feature toggle.

See Infor HR Talent User and Administration Library (Cloud and On-premises) and select Administrator > HR Talent Setup and Administration.

  1. In HR Administration, select Resources > Resource Search.
  2. Search for a resource's record using a keyword or other options.
  3. Click the Talent tab.
  4. In the Skills section, select a skill to update and click Update Skill Proficiency.
    Note: If the resource has requested the update, a yellow flag is displayed on the resource's Competencies and Skills list. You can select the Cancel Request To Update Competency Proficiency or Cancel Request To Update Skill Proficiency action to cancel the resource's request. When you cancel the request or update the proficiency, the yellow flag is removed.
  5. Specify the effective date, reason, and new rating. Optionally, provide comments about the update.
  6. Click Submit.
