Renewing skills

Resources can request to renew a skill. You can view, renew, or cancel all skills that any resources have requested to renew on HR Administration > Qualifications > Tools And Tasks > Qualification Requests.

As an administrator, you can update renew a skill on the resource's talent profile even if the resource has not requested the renewal.

To access the consolidated view of a resource's profile, you must enable the Administrators View of Employee Profile feature toggle.

See Infor HR Talent User and Administration Library (Cloud and On-premises) and select Administrator > HR Talent Setup and Administration.

A skill must be validated before it can be renewed.

  1. In HR Administration, select Resources > Resource Search.
  2. Search for a resource's record using a keyword or other options.
  3. Click the Talent tab.
  4. In the Skills section, select a skill to renew and click Renew Skill.
    Note: If the resource has requested the renewal, a yellow flag is displayed on the resource's skills list, next to the expiration date. You can select the Cancel Request To Renew Skill action to cancel the resource's request. When you cancel the request or renew the skill, the yellow flag is removed.
  5. Specify the effective date, reason, required renewal date, and requested expiration date. Optionally, attach a new file and provide comments about the renewal.
  6. Click Submit.
