Updating hire, rehire, and termination dates

Before users can update dates on the Dates & Service tab of the resource's profile, administrators must enable the hire, rehire, and termination date correction.

See the Infor HR Talent User and Administration Library (Cloud and On-premises) and select Administrator > Organizational structure > Corrections for turnover calculations > Enabling date corrections.

The date corrections are reflected automatically when the users perform these actions:
  • Update Hire
  • Update Rehire
  • Update Terminate
This table shows the fields that users can update for each date correction:
Date correction Fields to update
New hire date Start Date, Adjusted Start Date, First Date Worked, Anniversary Date, Other Date 1, Other Date 2, Other Date 3, Other Date 4, and Other Date 5
Rehire date Effective Date, Start Date, Adjusted Start Date, First Date Worked, Anniversary Date, Continuous Employment Date, Other Date 1, Other Date 2, Other Date 3, Other Date 4, and Other Date 5
Termination date Termination Date, Date Last Worked, Last Date Paid, Other Date 1, Other Date 2, Other Date 3

If you enable the approval flow for resource termination, then the updates for termination date correction are processed for termination approval of the resource, and the resource termination is initiated.

To access the consolidated view of an employee's profile, you must enable the Administrators View of Employee Profile feature toggle.

See Infor HR Talent User and Administration Library (Cloud and On-premises) and select Administrator > HR Talent Setup and Administration.

  1. In HR Administration, select Resources > Resource Search.
  2. Search for and open a resource's record.
  3. On the Work tab, click View in the Dates pane.
  4. Click the pencil icon for the field that requires correction.
Use each pencil icon to update the new hire, rehire, and termination dates.
  5. In the Effective Date field, specify the date when this update takes effect.
  6. Select the reason for the update.
  7. Specify a date.
Do not update dates that are later than the current date. For example, you update the new hire dates. The employee's start date is September 2, 2018, and you update the second other date to September 1, 2025.
If you must update a date that is greater than the current date, you must perform a separate update.
  8. Click Submit.
