Creating a legal entity
- As payroll administrators, select Payroll > Administration > Setup.
For HR administrators, select HR Administration > Administration > Setup.
- In the Structure pane, click Legal Entities.
- Click Create.
- Specify this information:
- Effective Date
- Select the date when the legal entity becomes effective.
- Country/Jurisdiction
- Select the country in which this legal entity exists.
- Legal Entity
- Specify the name of the legal entity.
- Description
- Optionally, provide a description for the legal entity.
- Legal Entity Number
- Optionally, specify the unique identifier for the legal entity. For example, the SIREN number.
- Location

Optionally, select the location of the legal entity.
Note: The location must be in the country that you selected for the legal entity. You can also select a location to provide an address for the legal entity if you do not define legal establishments.
- Company
- For France only. Specify the company ID for the legal entity.
- Industry Code
- For France only. Specify the industry code for the legal entity.
- Tax Provider Company

Specify the tax provider company for the legal entity.
For TaxFactory Canada, the tax provider company must be defined to calculate employer reduced employment insurance rates. Tax provider company holds the BSI Company.
Calculate Payments passes this value to TaxFactory Canada and shows the value in the input triage log.
- Employment Code
- For France only. Specify the employment code for the legal entity.
- Tax Identifier
- For multiple countries or France. Specify the legal entity's tax identifier.
- File Number
- For France only. Specify the legal entity's file number.
- System
- For France only. Specify the legal entity's system code.
- Click Save.
