Update eligibility group deductions
Use the Update Deduction Eligibility Group action to create employee deductions for individuals who meet these criteria:
- They qualify for the eligibility group on the deduction code.
- They do not currently have an active employee deduction record.
The action generates an End Date for employee deductions for employees who no longer qualify for the eligibility group on the deduction code.
Run the update every cycle before processing payroll.
- For taxes, the action should not be run with an end date unless the tax has been rescinded by BSI.
- Terminated employees should not fall into the Eligibility Group criteria used to qualify employee.
This action can be performed for deduction codes with a Deduction Type of Other or Tax.
