Creating legal establishments

If your organization is configured for US only, you cannot select legal establishments on organization units.

Although legal entities are available to all configurations, legal establishments are available only to organizations that are configured for France or multiple countries.

  1. As payroll administrators, select Payroll > Administration > Setup.

    For HR administrators, select HR Administration > Administration > Setup.

  2. In the Structure pane, click Legal Entities.
  3. Select the legal entity for which to define a legal establishment.
  4. In the Legal Establishments section, click Create.
  5. On the Legal Establishment tab, specify this information:
    Effective Date
    Select the date on which the legal establishment takes effect.
    Legal Establishment
    Specify the name of the legal establishment.
    Description
    Optionally, provide a description for the legal establishment.
    Legal Establishment Number
    Optionally, specify the unique identifier for the legal establishment. For example, the SIREN number.
    Industry
    For France only. Specify the legal establishment's industry code.
    Headquarters
    Select this check box if this legal establishment is the headquarters for the legal entity. Only one legal establishment can be selected as the headquarters.
    Location
    Select the legal establishment's location, and specify the address.
    Tax Provider Company
    Select the tax provider company.
    Payroll Account Number
    For Canada only. Specify the account number used for payroll processing.
    Quebec Enterprise Number
    For Canada only. Specify the enterprise number assigned by the Quebec government.
    Local Office
    For Canada only. Specify the local office number for the Report on Hirings. This office number is the Human Resource Centre of Canada number, which helps associate hiring with the proper employer name and address.
    Pay Locator
    For Canada only. Specify the identifier that separates pay centers, such as plants, branches, stores, or subsidiaries, when the same employer number is used for the Report on Hirings for numerous pay centers.
  6. Click Save.
