Creating a tax levy exemption

  1. Select Payroll > Administration > Setup.
  2. In the Structure pane, click Deductions.
  3. Click the Tax Authorities tab.
  4. Select and open a tax authority or federal tax authority. Data for the federal tax authority is already delivered but can be modified. Data for other tax authorities can be defined.
  5. Click the Tax Levy Exemptions tab.
  6. Click Create.
  7. Specify this information:
    Levy Effective Year
    Specify a levy effective year.
    Filing Status
    Specify a filing status.
    Exemptions
    Specify a value.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Repeat these steps for each levy effective year, filing status, and exemption.
