Creating union dependency deductions for an employee

Use the procedure for Assigning employee deductions. Automatic enrollment is accomplished through eligibility groups that are defined on the deduction code.

You must assign employee deductions without deduction cycles. The Create Union Deductions action creates one-time deductions. If cycles are added to the employee deduction, the deduction applies in standard cycles and is created with the Create Union Deductions action.

If an employee is assigned to a union dues deduction code that includes a dependency deduction, the system automatically creates the dependency deduction.
