Preparing for year-end parameters
You must set up the parameters used to create year-end slips and electronic files. You can specify information into the Year End Configurable Field Records page or use the action to copy or delete parameters.
Note: The payroll application processes Canadian Year End Configurable Field records by topic, not by individual fields. If a legal entity record exists for a specific topic, such as T4 Parameters, T4 Box 40 Other Information, T4A Parameters, and so on, the application applies that topic record to employees with historical data in that legal entity. When both Legal Entity and Legal Establishment are configured, employees paid under that combination use the corresponding Year End Configurable field. Employees without a matching Legal Entity and Legal Establishment setup default to the configuration where only the Legal Entity is defined, and the Legal Establishment is left blank.
