Preparing company information

Before you create year-end slips and electronic files, review the company requirements. Canadian year-end processing uses many pay classes, pay summary groups, and deduction classes for special situations. Ensure that they are set up beforehand.

Verifying Payroll Account Number and Quebec Enterprise Number

Before you create your year-end slips, check the setup of your Canada Payroll Account Numbers or Quebec Enterprise Numbers.

  • Verify payroll configuration setup:
    1. As Payroll Administrator, navigate to Payroll > Administration > Payroll Configuration > Country Configurations > Select Organization > Select the Country Configuration for CA.
    2. In the Legal Establishment field, click the ellipsis and define the legal establishment.
  • Verify legal establishment setup:
    1. Navigate to HR Administration > Administration > Setup > Structure > Legal Entities > Legal Establishments.
    2. Select a legal entity to view its associated legal establishments.
    3. Confirm that the Payroll Account Number and Quebec Enterprise Number are correctly defined for each legal establishment.
