Configuring performance appraisal alerts

When you enable alerts, a notification icon appears in performance appraisals to highlight employees with recent or active corrective actions so you can review relevant employee relations information.

Before you configure appraisal alerts, you must enable the Employee Relations Insights feature toggle.

See Infor HR Talent User and Administration Library (Cloud and On-premises) and select System Administration > Utilities > Primary > Feature Toggles.

Configure corrective action steps to determine when alerts display and which message appears when you hover over the alert icon. Alerts display only when corrective action steps support alerts, qualifying corrective actions exist, and the appraisal meets the required type and status criteria.

As an Administrator or HR Generalist, select Appraisals > All to view performance appraisal alerts on the manager's copy of appraisals .

Alerts are displayed only on appraisals with statuses Draft, In Progress, Ready For Review, and Pending Acknowledgment, and are not displayed on appraisals with statuses Preliminary, Canceled, Administrator Canceled, Incomplete, and Acknowledged.

An alert icon is displayed beside the employee’s name when the employee has a corrective action with status Issued, and the corrective action step has appraisal alerts enabled. If the appraisal falls within the last days from the appraisal creation date and has status Ready For Review.

  1. Select Administration.
  2. In the Employee Relations pane, select Employee Relations Groups.
  3. Open an Employee Relations Group.
  4. Click the Corrective Action Steps tab.
  5. Create or update a corrective action step.
  6. In the Show Alerts section, select the Performance Appraisals check box.
  7. Specify this information:
Corrective action in the last days
Specify the number of days within which the alert is displayed in performance appraisals.
    Alert Message

Specify the message that displays when you hover over the alert icon. The default value is Contact Employee Relations, but you can update it based on the customer’s preferred message.

If you leave this field blank, it sets to Corrective Employee Relations when you save the record.

Select Employee Relations > Corrective Actions to define corrective actions with the Show Alerts for Performance Appraisals setting enabled and qualifying statuses such as Issued, Pending Acknowledgment, Acknowledged, or Inactive.

Alerts do not display when corrective actions use non-qualifying statuses such as Draft, In Review, Reviewed, Canceled, or Withdrawn.
