Configuring goals for your organization

Use this procedure to configure organizational goals. You can use action plans for organizational goals, create goals that are scored on external results, and enable goal reviewing.

  1. Select Performance > Administration.
  2. In the Goals pane, click Goal Configuration.
  3. Specify this information:
    Enable Action Plans

    Switch on this toggle to enable the action plan functionality for goals.

    The Use Action Plan setting on a goal type determines if resource goals that are defined for the goal type can use action plans.

    Enable External Results

    Switch on this toggle to enable goal external results functionality, which lets an organization define goals that are rated on external results.

    The Use External Results setting on a goal type determines if goal ratings for resource goals are determined by external results.

    Enable Goal Review

    Switch on this toggle to enable goals for reviews.

    Goal Printing Options

    Switch on this toggle for the options to be printed.

    Instructions

    Specify the instructions to be displayed when employee access their goals under Employee > Manage Goals. This field is a Rich Text Field (RTF) that can be used for formatting.

    Next Steps Instructions

    If default instructions have been pre-loaded, the instructions are displayed. Otherwise, the fields are blank.

    To update instructions that are displayed for users after they have specified a goal, specify information in the Next Steps Instructions column. You can specify your own values or you can use predefined values.

  4. Click Save.
