Enabling Secure Act 2.0 eligibility flags
- From HR Administration, select Resources > Resource Search.
- Specify any information about the employee.
- Click Search.
- Right-click the employee and select Open.
- Click the Benefits tab.
- In the Secure Act section, specify this information:
- Eligible
- Select the check box to identify long-term part-time employees who satisfy the required three-year eligibility period or have completed at least 500 hours in 3 consecutive years.

You can use this field to idenfity the eligible employees to make elective deferrals under Secure Act.
Employees must be 21 years of age by the last day of the same 3-year period.
- Over Wage Limit
- Select the check box to identify employees who must make catch-up contributions to Roth account instead of 401k account.
- Catch Up Eligible
- Select the check box to identify resources that are 50 years of age or over at the end of the calendar year, and who make the annual catch-up contributions.
- This group also has 500 hours or 1, 000 hours of eligibility identified in the eligible group.
Different age limits for the catch up are defined in payroll as Payment Override.
- Click Save.
