Adding equivalent qualifications to an equivalency group

Administrators can add equivalent qualifications to equivalency groups. They can specify a minimum rating required for the candidate and a target rating.
  1. Select Qualifications.
  2. Click the Components tab.
  3. In the Groups pane, click Equivalency Groups.
  4. Select an equivalency group.
  5. From the Equivalent Qualifications list, click Create.
  6. Specify this information:
    Effective Date
    Specify the date that the qualification is activated.
    Type
    Select the type of qualification to add.
    Qualification
    Select the qualification to add in the equivalent qualification to an equivalency group.
    Essential Rating Level
    Specify a target rating for the qualification.
    If you select Competency or Skill in the Type field, this field is displayed.
    Desired Rating Level
    Specify a minimum rating that the candidate must have for the qualification.
    If you select Competency or Skill in the Type field, this field is displayed.
    Qualification Source
    Select the source of the qualification to add in the equivalent qualification to an equivalency group.
    If you select Credential in the Type field, this field is displayed.
    Education Specialization
    Select the required education specialization that the candidate must meet for the equivalent qualification.
    If you select Education in the Type field, this field is displayed.
    Years Experience
    Specify the required number of experienced years that the candidate must meet for the equivalent qualification.
    If you select Experience in the Type field, this field is displayed.
    Experience Specialization
    Select the required experience specialization that the candidate must meet.
    If you select Experience in the Type field, this field is displayed.
    Relation
    To require candidates to meet any single requirement, specify OR. To require candidates to meet all the requirements, specify AND.
    Essential
    Select this check box to enable the essential status for equivalent qualifications in the equivalent group.
    After you add equivalent qualifications to an equivalency group, the essential status for the equivalent qualifications is displayed in the Equivalent Qualifications list.
    When you enable automatic synchronization of essential status for qualifications, the essential status of an equivalent qualification is set to match the essential status of the qualification. If the qualification is in essential status, Yes is displayed in the Essential field. If the qualification is not in essential status, No is displayed in the Essential field.
