Enabling employee access to Symmetry tax forms

Before you can enable the employee access to Symmetry tax forms, ensure that you use the Symmetry integration as an add-on to your organization.

After you enable the Symmetry integration, you can configure the Symmetry web service and configure Infor parameters.

As an administrator, you can make Symmetry tax forms available to employees through the Employee Space. Employees can view, edit, and submit Symmetry tax forms.

See the Infor HR Talent User and Administration Library (Cloud and On-premises) and select User > Employee.

If the payroll system is Infor HR Talent, define the Symmetry tax form IDs that apply to a tax authority.

See the Infor HR Talent Integrations Library (Cloud and On-premises) and select Third-party Integrations > Symmetry integration (Cloud).

See the Infor HR Talent User and Administration Library (Cloud and On-premises) and select Administration > HR Payroll Setup and Administration > Tax structure setup > Tax authorities > Creating a tax authority.

  1. From HR Administration, select Administration > Setup.
  2. In the Structure pane, click Organizations.
  3. Right-click the organization and select Open.
  4. Click Country Configurable Fields.
  5. Right-click the country configurable fields for US or Canada and select Update.
    Symmetry tax forms are available for US and Canada.
  6. Specify an effective date.
  7. On the Configurable Fields tab, select the Symmetry Tax Forms check box.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Click Ok.
  10. Click Configure.
  11. Specify this information:
    Postback User Name
    Specify the information in the saak field from the .ionapi credential file.
    This user name is used to connect to ION API.
    Postback Password
    Specify the information in the sask field from the .ionapi credential file.
    This password is used to connect to ION API.
    The rest of the values on the form are automatically populated with the values in Transition Management.
  12. Click Submit.
