Creating equivalency groups

Administrators can create equivalency groups to assign for a job or position.
  1. Select Qualifications.
  2. Click the Components tab.
  3. In the Groups pane, click Equivalency Groups.
  4. In the Equivalency Groups section, click Create.
  5. Specify this information:
    Effective Date
    Specify the date that the equivalency group can be activated.
    Equivalency Group
    Specify the name of the equivalency group.
    Short Description
    This description is shown in the detailed view on the Equivalency Group Details section.
    Description
    This description is shown in the Equivalency Group page.
    Definition
    Specify a criterion for the group.
    Essential
    Select this check box to enable the essential status on an equivalent qualification for an equivalency group.
    After you enable the essential status for an equivalency group, the essential status for the equivalency group is displayed in the Equivalency Groups list.
    When you enable automatic synchronization of the essential status for qualifications, essential status for equivalent qualifications is enabled.

    Active
    Select this check box to activate the equivalency group.
  6. Click Save.
