Creating equivalency groups
Administrators can create equivalency groups to assign for a job or position.
- Select Qualifications.
- Click the Components tab.
- In the Groups pane, click Equivalency Groups.
- In the Equivalency Groups section, click Create.
- Specify this information:
- Effective Date
- Specify the date that the equivalency group can be activated.
- Equivalency Group
- Specify the name of the equivalency group.
- Short Description
- This description is shown in the detailed view on the Equivalency Group Details section.
- Description
- This description is shown in the Equivalency Group page.
- Definition
- Specify a criterion for the group.
- Essential
- Select this check box to enable the essential status on an equivalent qualification for an equivalency group.
- After you enable the essential status for an equivalency group, the essential status for the equivalency group is displayed in the Equivalency Groups list.
- When you enable automatic synchronization of the essential status for qualifications, essential status for equivalent qualifications is enabled.

- Active
- Select this check box to activate the equivalency group.
- Click Save.
