Viewing manager structures

The manager structure is dynamic. As resources are assigned to a manager or as a manager on their work assignments, the manager structure gets updated with the resources' names.

If the manager auto reassignment is enabled for the organization, when a manager position becomes vacant, the next available manager in the reporting hierarchy is assigned to the affected employees.

The acting manager’s name is displayed in place of the vacant supervisor, and a message indicating that the position is not yet filled.

  1. From HR Administration, select Administration > Setup.
  2. In the Structure pane, click Managers.
  3. In the Managers section, select a manager's name to view a list of the resources that report to the manager and their subordinates.
  4. To view the details of a specific role, open the role on the Structure tab or the Roles tab. Click these tabs to view information for each role:
    Detail
    Basic manager information that was specified when the manager was created.
    Managers Within Structure
    Managers within the manager structure.
    Resources In This Role
    Resources that are assigned to this manager role. Multiple resources can be assigned to a role.
    Direct Reports
    Resources that report directly to this manager. These resources have this manager selected as Direct Manager on their work assignment.
    Indirect Reports
    Resources that report indirectly to this manager. These resources have this manager selected as Indirect Manager on their work assignment.
    All Reports
    Resources that report to the manager and the manager's subordinate managers
  5. Click the Chart tab to view the organizational chart for managers.
