Requesting to buy time off

This feature is available only if your organization uses the Absence Management application and if you have permission to buy time off.

  1. Select Time and Attendance.
  2. Click the Balances and Requests tab.
  3. In the Plans pane, find the plan that has a request to buy time off option.
  4. Click Request Buy Time Off.
  5. In the Request To Buy Time Off pane, this information is displayed:
    • Available For Request: Shows your time-off balance. It includes your available balance minus any pending and approved time off requests.
    • Maximum To Buy: Shows the maximum number of hours or days that you can purchase as defined by your organization. This number is updated as buy-time-off requests are approved.
  6. Specify this information:
    Days or Hours
    Specify the number of days or hours to buy. Make sure the days or hours you specify do not exceed the maximum you’re allowed to buy.
    Additional Information
    Optionally, specify additional information about your request.
    Attachment
    Optionally, attach a document to support your request.
  7. Click Submit.
