Completing tax forms from a transition program

You can access tax forms from a transition program in Symmetry.

Symmetry US tax forms are available to employees who work and live in the US. Symmetry Canada tax forms are available to employees who work and live in Canada.

You can access the My Programs pane only if an administrator enables the Symmetry integration and create a transition program for an employee or candidate.

See the Infor HR Talent Integrations Library (Cloud and On-premises) and select Third-party Integrations > Symmetry integration (Cloud) > Configure the multi-tenant server instance > Configuring the Symmetry integration.

A list of tax forms is displayed.

You must provide this data to identify the employee and determine the correct forms:
  • Name
  • Social Security Number (USA) or Social Insurance Number (Canada)

    The formats of the Social Security Number and the Social Insurance Number are xxx-xx-xxxx and xxx-xxx-xxx, respectively.

  • Country or jurisdiction
  • Work and residential addresses
If any data is missing, a message is displayed in the system.

After you complete the tax forms, you are redirected to the assigned transition program to complete any remaining tasks. The recently completed tax forms are displayed.

The system is updated with relevant information, such as employee deductions.

A .pdf file of the tax form is created. You can view the tax form.

  1. Select Profile > Work > My Programs.
  2. In the tax form task, click Start.
  3. Click Complete Tax Form.
  4. Click Next.
    If you close the transition program task in the Infor Employee Self-Service while completing the Symmetry tax forms and click Next, a Continue Your Tasks window is displayed. To continue the next task in the transition program, you must click Return To Tasks. You can view the tax forms that are completed.
  5. Complete the questions on the form.
    The questions vary by tax form.
  6. Click Submit Form or Finished.
  7. To return to the assigned transition program and complete any remaining tasks, click Next.
  8. To complete the task for tax forms, click Next.
  9. To complete additional forms, select Do More Forms.
