Updating the delivery method for Form W‑2

Before you can update your Form W‑2 delivery preference, ensure that the Payroll and Employee modules are enabled and that Form W‑2 Delivery is activated and assigned to a transition program.

You can update your Form W‑2 delivery preference during the transition process.

  1. Select Profile.
  2. Click the Work tab.
  3. In the My Programs pane, select an onboarding program and click Start.
  4. Open the Form W‑2 Delivery transition task.
  5. Review the current delivery preference. If a preference already exists on the employee record, that value is shown.
  6. Select your preferred delivery method.

    If you select Disable Paperless Delivery, a paper copy of the tax form is mailed by January 31. The form remains available online.

    If you select Enable Paperless Delivery, the tax statement is available online only. You can print copies for your records.

  7. Click Submit.

    If the delivery preference changes, the updated preference is saved to the employee record and an email notification is sent to the employee.

    After completion, any change to the delivery preference is updated in Pay > Tax Documents > Tax Delivery Method.
