Declaring dependent enrollment intent

Before you can enroll in a benefit plan, you must declare your intent to enroll, or not enroll, you dependents in benefit plans. This determines which benefit plan options are displayed during enrollment. In other words, only options that would cover the dependents you intend to enroll are displayed.

  1. Select Benefits.
  2. Click the Dependents and Beneficiaries tab.
  3. Right-click the row of a dependent record, then select Open.
  4. The Include In Coverage section is available if the Filter Choices Based On Dependents feature is enabled for the organization. Select Yes or No in these fields to declare your intent to enroll this dependent in each type of coverage.

    These fields vary depending on the configurations of your administrator.

    Include In Dental
    Select Yes or No to declare your intent to enroll this dependent in dental coverage.
    Include In Health
    Select Yes or No to declare your intent to enroll this dependent in health coverage.
    Include In Health Savings Account
    Select Yes or No to declare your intent to enroll this dependent in an HSA.
    Include In Vision
    Select Yes or No to declare your intent to enroll this dependent in vision coverage.
  5. Click Submit.
