Accepted and rejected employee contracts
After employee contracts are created, employees can view them and take actions on the employee contract. If email automation rules are set up, then the employee receives an email that contains a link to view the employment contract. See Creating default automation rules.
When the employee clicks the View Contract link in the email, they are redirected to the list of their employee contracts that have actions available. The employee can then accept or reject the employee contract. After the employee submits their acceptance or rejection, the employment contract administrator can check whether it moved to a status of Accepted or Rejected. On the employment contract, the Acknowledgment field shows the employee's digital signature. The Date Acknowledged field shows the date that the contract was accepted or rejected.
If employee contract consolidation is enabled, the employee accepts or rejects and acknowledges only the MAIN employee contract record. The email link provided to the employee directs to the employee contract list, which shows employee contract records with a consolidation level of MAIN for review and acknowledgement. When acknowledged, the MAIN employee contract is automatically dated, and the status is updated to Accepted or Rejected.
The status, electronic signature, and acknowledgement date are stored on the MAIN employee contract and all associated active SUPPORTING records.
