Essential qualifications

If you work in a position that belongs to a job or position qualification group with a defined essential qualification, the qualification is displayed in your talent profile.

If a position does not have a required essential qualification, the qualification is not displayed as essential.

You can view the essential qualifications in your talent profile that are in an active, primary or non-primary work assignment.

HR administrators can add and update essential qualifications across all active work assignments in these panes:
  • Competencies
  • Skills
  • Credentials
  • Education
  • Experience

Viewing the essential qualifications

The essential qualifications are displayed in the Essential column based on both primary and non-primary work assignments.

  1. Select Profile > Talent.
  2. Click the right arrow icon in any of these panes:
    • Competencies
    • Skills
    • Credentials
    • Education
    • Experience
  3. Click Yes in the Essential column to view the position details associated with the essential qualification.
    If the essential qualification is associated to both the primary and active work assignments, the primary work assignment takes precedence.

    If a qualification is linked to multiple active work assignments, the first assigned work assignment takes precedence.
