Copying shift plans from history list

You can use historical shift records to create future shift plans.

Using Copy to Shift Plan on History tab

  1. Select Shifts.
  2. Click the History tab.
  3. Select one or more shift records, then click Copy to Shift Plan.
  4. Specify this information:
    Target Shift Date
    Specify the date for the copied shift plans. The date must be today or a future date.
    Copy Rules
    Select any of these rules to apply to the copied shift plans:
    • Copy Employee, Primary Topic, And Daily Maximum From Source: Copies the employee, primary topic, and daily maximum from the historical shift record.
    • Copy Employee, Override Primary Topic With Default Primary Topic: Copies the employee and replaces the primary topic with the employee's default primary topic.
    • Copy Employee Only From Source: Copies only the employee from the historical shift record.
    Publish on Create
    Select Yes to publish the copied shift plans when they are created.
    Override Published Shifts for Target Shift Date
    Select whether to overwrite an existing published shift for the employee on the target shift date. This field is available only when Publish on Create is set to Yes.

    When you select Yes, the application overwrites an existing published shift for the employee on the target date. When you select No, the application does not overwrite the existing published shift, skips the employee, and shows a warning message.

  5. Click Submit.

Bulk copying of shift plans from history list

  1. Select Shifts.
  2. Click the History tab.
  3. Click Copy from Date.
  4. Specify this information:
    Copy From Date
    Specify the historical shift date to copy.

    If no historical shift records exist for the selected date, the application shows a warning message.

    Target Shift Date
    Specify the date for the copied shift plans. The date must be today or a future date.
    Service Group
    Select the service group that contains the employees whose shift history records you are copying.

    Case managers can select only active service groups in which they are members, and case administrators can select any active service group.

    Copy Rules

    Select any of these rules to apply to the copied shift plans:

    • Copy Employee, Primary Topic, And Daily Maximum From Source: Copies the employee, primary topic, and daily maximum from the historical shift record.
    • Copy Employee, Override Primary Topic With Default Primary Topic: Copies the employee and replaces the primary topic with the employee's default primary topic.
    • Copy Employee Only From Source: Copies only the employee from the historical shift record.
    Publish on Create
    Select Yes to publish the copied shift plans when they are created.
