Question sets

Recruiting question sets are contained with a mix of standalone questions that are associated with question categories. You cannot delete a question set that is attached to a job requisition. Updates to a question within a question set are applied to the question set and do not affect the original question.

Updates made to the catalog question are automatically synchronized to all linked question sets.

Only question set questions that are linked to a catalog question are synchronized. Questions that are created directly in a question set and do not reference a catalog question are not affected by catalog updates.

The synchronization includes:
  • Updates to the question text of a catalog question.
  • New answer options added to list and multi-select catalog questions. New answer options are automatically added to all linked question set questions.

You can assign question sets to positions, job records, and organizations.

You can use one question set on the requisition.

The default question set to use is defined according to this hierarchy:
  1. Position
  2. Job
  3. Organization
This list shows the example scenarios:
  • If a question set is configured at all levels, then the question set at the position level is used by default.
  • If a question set is not assigned at the position level, then the question set at the job level is used by default.
  • If a question set is not assigned at the position and job level, then the question set at the organization level is used by default.
