Creating time records in batch status

A payroll administrator can create new time records in an existing batch. This is useful in instances such as when an employee is not able to create a time record, and the payroll administrator must create it in a batch of time records so that the batch balances to expected totals.
  1. Select Payroll > Time.
  2. In the Batch pane, click Time Record Batches.
  3. Select a batch.
  4. In the Batch section, click Create.
  5. On the Main tab, specify this information:
    Batch Number
Optionally, specify a batch number for the time record.
    Employment ID
    Specify the employment ID.
    Work Assignment
    Specify the work assignment.
    Date
    Specify a date.
    Hours
Optionally, specify the hours and the units for the time record.
    Pay Code
    Specify a pay code.
    Amount
If you specified a value in the Hours field, specify an amount.
    Currency
    Optionally, specify a currency.
    Shift
    Optionally, specify a shift.
    Check Group
    Optionally, select a check group.
    Process Group
    Optionally, select a process group.
    Tax Frequency Override

    Use Default ACH Distribution
This field is available when you select a Check Group.

Select this check box to route all direct deposits for the selected check group to the employee's Default Account only. Default Account is available on the Resource Bank Account or Bank Detail record.

This setting applies to both alpha and numeric check groups. If multiple time records share the same check group, the system uses the employee's Default Account before direct deposit records are generated.

  6. Specify a value for any other applicable fields.
  7. Click Save.
