Creating performance appraisals
Managers can create appraisals for employees reporting to them. The appraisal form that is used for the appraisal is configured with a rule so that managers can create appraisals.
Managers can create performance appraisals for an employee's primary work assignments, non-primary work assignments, or all work assignments.

Optionally, select Manager > Team > Profiles, select an employee profile, click More Actions > Create Appraisal.

When Assign Previous Manager To Performance Appraisal is selected, the look-back date is calculated by subtracting the specified number of days or months from the appraisal creation date. The look-back date is then used to determine whether the appraisal is assigned to the employee's previous manager or current manager.
Look-back Date = Current Date or Appraisal Creation Date − Specified Number of Days or Months- If the employee reported to a different manager on the look-back date and that manager is active, the appraisal is assigned to the previous manager.
- If the previous manager is inactive, the appraisal is assigned to the current manager.
- If no previous manager is identified within the look-back period, the appraisal is assigned to the current manager.
- If the appraisal form is configured with Email for Reassign Appraisal = Automatic Email and the appraisal is assigned to a previous manager, a reassignment email is sent automatically.
If Assign Previous Manager To Performance Appraisal is not selected, the appraisal is assigned to the current manager.
