Contextual links

Before you enable any contextual links for an HR Talent web application, you must enable the Flyout Panel on List feature toggle.

As an HR administrator, you can enable the contextual links for a specific HR Talent web application. The contextual links are applied to the most commonly-referenced key fields on a record. You can click the links to open relevant record information in a flyout panel.

When you enable a contextual link for an HR Talent web application, you must enable the flyout panel.

When you disable a contextual link for an HR Talent web application but you enable the flyout panel, the flyout panel is still enabled across HR Talent web applications.

When you disable the flyout panel, the contextual links are disabled across HR Talent web applications.

Opening contextual links in full page

Optionally, you can open the contextual links on a full page to focus on one record in a list.

  1. Open the record in the specific HR Talent web application.
    For example, Case Management > Cases > All.
  2. Press Ctrl.
  3. Click the contextual link.
    For example, the employee's name in the Name column.

Creating a new navigation link with disabled flyout panel

To open a full page for a record, create a new navigation link to disable the flyout panel for a specific contextual link.

  1. Select Configuration Console > Create > Configuration.
  2. In the Tailor Use Interface section, select Add A New Component > Navigation.
  3. Select the business class for the list that contains the contextual link.
    For example, ServiceGroupMember. To identify the business class of the list, press Ctrl + Shift and click the list.
  4. Specify the navigation name to use when you disable the flyout panel for the contextual link in a specific HR Talent web application.
    For example, ServiceGroupNoFlyoutNav.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. On the Edit tab, click Edit.
  7. Specify disable flyout.
    For example: 
    ServiceGroupNoFlyoutNav is a Navigation
form is CaseServiceGroup.primary
disable flyout
  8. Click Submit.

Updating the existing navigation link with disabled flyout panel

Update the existing navigation link to use the new navigation link that you created and disable the flyout panel for a specific contextual link.

  1. Open the list in the specific HR Talent web application.
  2. Press Ctrl + Shift.
  3. Click the list.
  4. Click View Configuration.
  5. On the Edit tab, click Edit.
  6. Specify the navigation link with a disabled flyout panel.
    For example: 
    CaseServiceGroup.ShortDescription
label is "ServiceGroup"
link is ServiceGroupNoFlyoutNav
  7. Click Submit.
