Tracking the status of all print jobs

As a document administrator, you can view the status of all users’ print jobs. Jobs older than 30 days are automatically purged, except for compliance documents. Before you start, click Refresh Status to update the list.

  1. In HR Talent, select System Administration.
  2. Click Documents.
  3. In the Quick Links pane, click Print Management.
  4. Click the Jobs tab.
  5. To view the most recent status of all print jobs, click Refresh Status.
To view the most recent status of an individual print job, select the job, right-click, and click Refresh Status For This Job.
Each print job shows a status that reflects its current status in the printing process:
    • Initiated - When a print job is triggered, it starts with an Initiated status.
    • Pending - If there are print jobs ahead in the queue for the printer, the print job has a Pending status.
    • InProgress - When the printing starts, the status shifts to InProgress.
    • OK - After the printing is complete, the status becomes OK.
    • Failed - If the print job fails during printing, it has a Failed status.
Note: Failed jobs cannot be reprinted manually. However, a background action will automatically retry failed jobs based on their priority. If a retry is successful, refreshing the screen updates the job’s status to OK.
