Creating transition programs
- Select Administrator > Transition Management > Setup > Transition Programs or HR Administration > Transitions > Components > Transition Programs.
A list of all transition programs is displayed. You can select a transition program to view the transition tasks that are associated with the transition program.
- Click Create.
- Specify this information:
- Transition Program
- Specify the name and provide a short description for the transition program.
- Type
- Specify the intended audience of the transition program.
- Active

The transition program is active by default. To deactivate the transition program, clear the check box.
Inactive programs are not displayed on select lists.
- Long Description
- Provide a description for the transition program. This description is shown on the candidate or resource landing page.
- Send Multiple Emails
- Select this check box to send multiple emails to the resource or candidate.
- Initiating Email Template
- Select the email template for the welcome email to send to the resource or candidate.
- To add another email template, select the Send Multiple Emails check box and click the + icon.
- You can add up to five initiating email templates and calculation methods.
- Calculation Method
- Select the specific schedule to send the email template for the transition program of the resource or candidate.
- The email is sent for transition programs with Pending, In Progress, and Complete statuses. The email template is not sent for transition programs with Cancelled statuses.
- To ensure that the emails are processed correctly when the calculated date is missing or in the past, the email is sent to the resource or candidate using the date rule option.

- Hide Transition Program Calculation Method
- Optionally, select a calculation method to hide the transition program from the list of resource and candidate programs.
- The calculation method is applied to transition programs with canceled or completed status.
- Total Tasks
- The number of tasks in this transition program are calculated.
- Enforce Sequential Tasks
- Select this check box to force candidates to complete tasks in the predetermined order, without skipping tasks and returning to them later.
- Enable Summary View Of Tasks
- Select this check box to enable a view that shows the tasks of a transition program in a list. Users can print these task lists. These tasks lists are shown to the resources after the completion message.
- Enable Attachments
- Select this check box to enable candidates, resources, and administrators to attach files to the transition program. When this check box is selected, all functionality that is related to adding, viewing, and deleting attachments is enabled.
- Welcome Email Template
- Optionally, specify the email template for the welcome email.
- Click Save.
- Add tasks to the transition program.
- On the Task Tree tab, specify the main task heading for a group of dependent tasks.
- On the Initiating Actions tab, click Create then specify the initiating action for the transition program.
These are the available initiating actions:
- ADD ASSIGNMENT
- HIRE
- PROMOTE
- REHIRE
- RESIGN
- TERMINATE
- TRANSFER
