Sending mass emails to candidates

Recruiters and recruiter administrators can send mass emails to groups of candidates. For example, you may want to inform candidates know about an upcoming job fair.

Mass emailing requires recruiter administrators to define email templates that precisely address the specific subject of the email.

  1. Select Recruiter > Candidates.
  2. Click the All Actions menu and select Send Mass Email.
  3. Specify this information:
    Email Template

    Required. Select the email template that specifically addresses the email you want to send.

    Caution: 
    Ensure that you select the right template. You cannot review or edit the email before sending.
    Eligibility Group

    Required. Select the group of candidates that will receive the email. Mass email eligibility groups are defined by a recruiter administrator in HR Administration > Administration > Setup > Other Setup > Custom Groups. Custom groups defined to be used in mass emails to candidates (who may or may not be also job applicants) must have Candidate as their business class and HCMCandidateMassEmail as their subject.

    Delay Email
    Select this check box to allow for a delay when sending emails.
    Delay Email By (hours)
    Specify the number of hours to delay the email.
  4. Click OK.

    The email is immediately sent to all applicants.

  5. To check that the email is sent, open the Correspondence record of any candidate that belongs to the eligibility group.
