Garnishment types
Garnishment types, which are associated with the system-defined garnishment categories, are used to further define the categories.
These garnishment types are delivered with HR Payroll for the United States:
- Bankruptcy
- Child Support
- Spousal Support
- Federal Tax Levy
- State Tax Levy
- Garnishment
- Wage Assignment
- Student Loan
Each delivered garnishment type corresponds to a garnishment category.

Garnishment categories that are associated with delivered garnishment types are predefined and cannot be changed by users.
You can manually define additional garnishment types.
