Creating competency models
Create competency groups before you create a competency model.
- Select Qualifications > Competency Models.
 - Click Create, and specify this information:
           
- Effective date
 - Specify the effective date.
 - Competency Model
 - Specify the competency model name.
 - Description
 - Specify a description. If this field is blank, the competency model name is the default for the description.
 - Definition
 - 
              
Optionally, describe the competency model.
 
 - Click Save.
           
The Competency Group, Competencies And Skills, and Used By tabs become active.
 - To add competency groups to the model, click the Competency Groups tab.
           
You can add competency groups individually using the Attach Competency Group action. Select a competency group and an effective date. Click Save.
- To add multiple competency groups simultaneously, click Helper List next to the Delete button. A list of all the competency groups for the organization are displayed.
 - Select the competency groups to add to the model, and select Attach Competency Group.
             
Use CTRL-click or CTRL-shift to select multiple competency groups. You cannot add a competency or skill that already exists in another customer group that is attached to the same model.
 
 - Click the Competencies And Skills tab to view a listing of the competencies and skills that are associated with the competency model through the groups.
           
Competencies and skills cannot be associated directly. They must be associated through a group.
 - Click the Used By tab to view a list of the positions, jobs, and talent pools that use the competency model.
